How We Work

Advisor. is an independent publication documenting fashion, culture, and the creative industries. Our work is rooted in storytelling, creative direction, and cultural relevance.

The following outlines how we approach editorial features, production, and partnerships.

Our Approach

Each Advisor. feature is developed through a collaborative editorial process led by our team.

This includes:

  • concept development
  • creative direction
  • photography and video production
  • interviews and written content
  • final image selection and layout

We work with a network of photographers, stylists, and creatives to bring each story to life.

Editorial Process

Advisor. maintains full editorial and creative control over all content produced.

This includes decisions related to:

  • image selection and editing

  • written content and interview excerpts

  • layout and presentation

  • publication timing

As an editorial publication, we do not provide previews or approvals prior to publication.

Being Featured

Editorial features, including cover stories, interviews, and photoshoots, are developed through internal selection or invitation.

Being featured in Advisor. is not a paid placement unless explicitly structured as a partnership.

Participation does not guarantee publication or cover placement.

Content Ownership

All content produced by Advisor., including photography, video, and written materials, is owned by the publication.

This content may be used across:

  • print issues
  • digital editorial
  • social platforms
  • promotional and marketing materials

Following publication, participants are welcome to share content with proper credit to Advisor. and the creative team.

Content may not be altered or distributed prior to release.

Creative Direction

Each production is guided by a clear creative direction developed by the Advisor. editorial team.

While collaboration is part of the process, final decisions related to styling, imagery, and presentation remain with the publication.

Partnerships

Advisor. collaborates with brands, creatives, and organizations on select partnerships and special projects.

These may include:

  • sponsored editorial features
  • brand collaborations
  • campaigns
  • event partnerships

All partnerships are developed in alignment with the publication’s voice and audience.

Inquiries

We receive a high volume of inquiries for features and cover opportunities.

While all inquiries are reviewed, not all submissions will be selected for editorial coverage.
