Advisor. Magazine welcomes contributions from writers, creatives, and cultural thinkers whose work explores Black fashion & beauty through the lens of business, culture, and impact. We publish reported stories, profiles, and analysis that center Black professionals, creatives, and entrepreneurs shaping the industry, with an emphasis on clarity, context, and point of view.
What We're Looking For
We review original fashion and visual stories that align with Advisor.’s point of view and production standards. This page is for finished editorials only.
We are interested in:
- Strong fashion direction with a clear point of view
- Stylist-led concepts that feel considered and intentional
- Emerging creative talent across photography, styling, beauty, and film
- Menswear and womenswear editorials with thoughtful wardrobe sourcing
- Beauty stories with detail-driven execution
- Visually compelling set design or location work
- Cultural narratives told through fashion and image
- Clean studio concepts or fully realized on-location productions
- Video editorials with strong pacing and visual cohesion
What’s not a good fit for us:
- Unfinished concepts or unedited image galleries
- Low resolution images
- Heavy watermarks or visible logos across images
- Campaign lookbooks without editorial direction
- Basic e-commerce or catalog style shoots
- Event photography without a defined fashion angle
- Submissions missing full creative credits
- AI-generated imagery presented as traditional editorial work
Submission Guidelines
Editorials must be complete and fully credited. We do not accept partial submissions or works in progress.
Image Requirements

High resolution JPG or PNG

Minimum 2500px on the long side

10 to 20 images per story

No heavy watermarks or visible branding overlays
Video Requirements

MP4 file or Vimeo or Drive link

HD minimum, 1080p preferred

Include one thumbnail still
