Wrapping Tradition and Sustainability: Ikot Iban’s Story

Fashion is so much more than a form of self expression. It is a reflection of our values, celebration of cultures, and a lens to a world we wish to see. With this, consumers are at the forefront in advocating for sustainability in hopes to aim for fashion pieces that protect the planet and respect traditions all while inspiring future designers. This mission is the heart of Ikot Iban, a Black-owned business that beautifully intertwines heritage, fashion, and the earth.

Kat Brown, owner of Ikot Iban, redefines the beauty of headwraps by offering vibrant seasonal collections while making them accessible, effortless, and easy to wear. This makes each piece more than a timeless accessory; it is a testament to culture and craftsmanship. Kat Brown continuously shares her knowledge and work to other entrepreneurs and consumers, inviting us to reimagine fashion through sustainability.

How do you choose which fabric?

Depending on whats available, based on where I want to travel to. I love the Caribbean, I love the beach!
