Advisor.: “How would you describe your personal style in three words?”Â
Kanesha: “I would describe my style as versatile, expressive, bold”

Advisor.: “What are your go-to fashion pieces you can’t live without?”
Kanesha: “My star tattoo! I have a red star in my chest that I showcase with almost every outfit. I sometimes won’t even wear jewelry, the star is enough! “

Advisor.: “What current fashion trends you are loving, and how do you incorporate them into your everyday style?”
Kanesha: “A current fashion trend I have been loving, is bag charms! I have added so many gems, pins and keychains to all my everyday bags.”
Advisor.: “What role do you think fashion plays in shaping cultural identity and self-expression?”
Kanesha: “I think fashion plays a crucial role in shaping both cultural identity and self-expression by acting as a visual language for your beliefs, values and individuality. It allows you to conform or challenge the cultural norms. Fashion acts as a form of daily self-expression, showcasing your personality, mood, creativity. Cultural identity in fashion gives you a sense of belonging within your community. Fashion is heavily intertwined with how people understand themselves and the world around them.”

Advisor.: “One fashion item you’d never wear?”Â
Kanesha: “There isn’t a specific item that I’d never wear. Fashion is extremely subjective and I believe it’s all about how you style a piece that brings out its appeal and the authenticity of you. Every piece of clothing has potential, just about how you style it.”
