This fall, The Global Edit made its official debut at New York Fashion Week with a bold promise: to redefine what luxury means for women who lead. Founded by Nichole M. Bess, the visionary behind Noir Fashion Week, The Global Edit is a subscription-based styling service that merges fashion with artificial intelligence, bringing personalized luxury to executives, creatives, and decision-makers around the world.
At the core of this launch is a powerful partnership with Candace V. Mitchell, founder and CEO of Myavana, the beauty technology company pioneering AI diagnostics for textured hair. Together, Bess and Mitchell are reshaping how personalization and innovation meet at the intersection of style and beauty.
“Our visions were naturally aligned,” Bess explains. “We both believe in using technology and creativity to honor individuality. Women who lead do not want one-size-fits-all solutions. They want experiences that reflect their culture, their careers, and their lifestyles.”
For The Global Edit, personalization is not a passing trend. It is the foundation. Through Myavana’s AI technology, data-driven insights extend beyond wardrobe into beauty, creating a holistic experience that ensures every look aligns with the woman wearing it. “Intelligent style is about more than clothes,” Mitchell adds. “It is about understanding lifestyle patterns, anticipating needs, and delivering looks that feel effortless yet elevated.”
The Global Edit also challenges conventional ideas of luxury. “Today, luxury is less about excess and more about intention,” Bess says. “It is about in-season, high-quality pieces curated from diverse global designers, delivered with white-glove service. With Candace’s technology infused into our platform, we are proving that luxury can be cultural, convenient, and deeply innovative.”

The partnership signals a new model for fashion: one that fills a clear gap in the market. Until now, no platform had combined fashion and AI in a way that was both intelligent and inclusive. The Global Edit offers head-to-toe styling and beauty alignment for women of influence, while also creating pathways for emerging designers to enter spaces where they have historically been excluded.
For both founders, representation is at the heart of this work. “Black women are culture creators and early adopters, yet too often left out of the conversations that shape industries,” Bess notes. “By leading here, we are not just participants. We are architects of the future.”
The response has already been electric. At its soft launch during the Baddies in Tech conference, women embraced the vision immediately, seeing themselves reflected in the service and its promise. “They were inspired and validated,” Mitchell recalls. “It proved that our audience is ready, not just for another styling service, but for a future where technology uplifts culture and makes luxury accessible on their own terms.”
Behind the scenes, the collaboration between Bess and Mitchell is built on synergy. Myavana brings the science and proven expertise in beauty data, while The Global Edit delivers global access, styling, and a platform for diverse designers. “We are building something layered, without a blueprint,” says Bess. “The challenge has been creating a new category. The reward is watching women light up when they realize this is not just about fashion. It is about freedom, time, confidence, and representation.”
As The Global Edit steps onto the global stage, its impact is already clear: it is raising the standard for what women should expect from luxury. For the industry, it is a signal to catch up. For women who lead, it is the beginning of a new era where style is intelligent, personalized, and rooted in culture.
